YENNY WIDJAJA
Yenny has more than 18 years of dance experience and 4 years as a certified fitness trainer. She is a director of L.A. Dance Connection, which she co-founded in 2003 with Lionel Araya from Los Angeles. Her interest in fitness has since led her to be a Master Trainer with a Los Angeles-based fitness company, Motion Fit.
In Singapore, she has danced for numerous Mediacorp TV productions, The Great World Cabaret (Resort World), Crazy Christmas (Esplanade), Singapore Slingers Cheerleading Team, F1 Night Race, and also performed at the West Coast Salsa Congress in Los Angeles (2002 & 2008). She choreographed for the movie “It’s a Great Great World” (2011) and has taught for the Esplanade, California Fitness, Fitness First, Club Med Ria Bintan, Marlupi Dance Academy & Celebrity Fitness Jakarta among others.
Yenny now teaches at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore American School, and various dance schools and institutions. Yenny also holds an ACE (American Council on Exercise) personal training certification, and continues to share dance and fitness through workshops in Los Angeles, India and Indonesia.
JOERN AW
Joern holds a Diploma in Dance from LASALLE College of the Arts, from which she received training in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz and Urban dance.
She has performed in works choreographed by various local and international artists namely: Theo Clinkard (UK), Liz Roche (Ireland), Olé Khamchanla (France/ Laos), Trisha Brown (US), Sufri Juwahir (SG), Leia Ang (SG), Goh Xiang Tian (SG) and Dapheny Chen (SG). Joern enjoys collaborative work, creating cutting-edge pieces and performing.
Her main aim in her dance career is aspiring to teach dance, in hopes of inspiring the future generation of dancers. Joern also holds RAD Intermediate grade Ballet certification.
